Churches are filled with people who are hurting—emotionally, relationally and spiritually. Some of them may need the help of a professional counselor … but most do not. The church can be a tremendous help to those people by providing a healthy relational environment.

This complimentary seminar will give some practical steps that influencing church members can take toward developing a community wherein people are helped to overcome personal problems in life.

This event is also open to any church members who would like to get involved on a more personal level with their congregation.

Speaker: Dr. Nathan Lewis

  • Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs and Founding Director of Master's in Counseling Ministry, School of Behavioral Sciences, California Baptist University
  • Master's and Doctorate in Psychology and Marriage and Family Counseling, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX
  • Extensive experience in both professional and church-based counseling
  • Director lay counseling training and ministry, Church in the Valley, Diamond Bar, CA
