First-Year Orientation and Christian University Success
"Connecting new students to campus, classmates, college life, and Christ"
BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT'S ALMOST HERE!
Yes, before you know it we’ll be starting the 2008 Fall Semester at CBU. So I thought I’d tell you a little more about the NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION WEEK that kicks off the semester.
Here is a link to the Orientation Highlights Schedule. This is just a draft, so some events may change a bit, but it should give you a good idea of what we’ve got in store for you. Remember that orientation is for everyone! Whether you have just graduated from high school, transferring from another school or just decided to continue your education after some time off, we want you to feel welcomed and have a great start to your CBU experience. Do your best to come to everything you can! You will definitely get out of it what you put into it!
The week begins with Orientation Check-In & Move-In Day on Tuesday, August 26th, from 9 am to 4 pm. “Move-In” will take place at the respective living areas (signs will be posted). Orientation “Check-In” will begin at the Van Dyne Gymnasium. If you won't be living on campus, feel free to “Check-In” for Orientation at the Van Dyne Gymnasium from 2 pm to 4 pm then join us for the Welcome Dinner and “Orientation Kick-off” at 5 pm. Parents, spouses and guests are welcome to attend Orientation on Tuesday and Wednesday. Special sessions are planned on Wednesday morning for parents.
To help us plan on how many to expect for meals and some of the events, we are asking you to PLEASE fill out the Orientation RSVP Form on the right of this webpage. The earlier we get this information returned to us the better.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the Campus Life Office at 951.343.4300 or email us at campuslife@calbaptist.edu. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we’ll see you soon!
Sincerely,
Joe Adcock
Assistant Dean of Students

who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
