Dear NACBA Member, Pastor or Church Business Administrator,
I am pleased to announce California Baptist University will be hosting the 27th National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA) Seminar II on May 13-22, 2009. Our excellent location, program and price combine to make this seminar (one of two required for NACBA certification) an outstanding value.
Each day we offer a blend of theory and the practical. You’ll learn from skilled and successful church administrators and veteran business professors. Participants have said, "My effectiveness is increasing because of the training and hearing what fellow classmates have done to be successful." Rick
Past topics of Seminar II have been in the areas of Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Stewardship of Self, Legal and Tax Matters, Christian Perspectives and Theology of Church, and Theology and Ethics of Church Administration.
The beautiful 105-acre main campus of California Baptist University is situated in the heart of Riverside's historic Magnolia Avenue district located just a short distance from beautiful Southern California beaches, mountains, and popular attractions. CBU is a perfect place to refresh your spirit.
For maximum fellowship opportunities, we highly encourage everyone to consider our most reasonably priced campus housing and first rate CBU food court option. The dorms are actually beautiful cottages which are clean and convenient. Each cottage is climate controlled and has five bedrooms, each with two twin beds, three baths and a laundry room and kitchen. There is a centrally located meeting room for off-hours fellowship.
What others have said about the cottages: "...the cottage atmosphere was good to meet others you'd never meet otherwise ... The sharing between others was the best. Helped you not feel alone, you're on the right or wrong track and that what you're doing is significant and purposeful. Some of the best thoughts and ideas came from sharing with classmates and applying what we discussed." - Rick. "Cottage environment worked well. We had people to share with and a "quad" area to mix with other people. Saturday-went to the beach and bonded with other folks (deepened relationships)." - Lisa.
Our Alumni Dining Commons has an excellent mission revival style food court with "made to order" buffet style food selections.
I encourage you to go to our website (www.calbaptist.edu/nacba) for comments from past participants, pictures of our “cottages” and campus, and more details.
It is our prayer that this NACBA Seminar will be a relevant and enriching experience for you. Please take a few minutes to read the enclosed Information Sheet, check your calendar and reserve your space.
Blessings,
