Elderly Ministry
Adopt-a-Grandparent: Bridge the generations. This ministry pairs you with a resident of the Rose Garden Apartment Complex in a unique relationship of love and care. Weekly visits and monthly fellowships provide a foundation for both the grandparent and the grandchild.
Teen Ministry
Project Bridge: Be a positive influence. Project Bridge ministers to area teens who are struggling with life's difficultities. A weekly tutoring session on the CBU campus provides not only academic assistance in their studies but an opportunity to mentor and help clarify direction for their lives.
Safe House: Safe House is the only facility in Riverside County providing services to runaway, homeless, at-risk youth. As a volunteer you can provide a voice of support and encouragement. Weekly programs offer opportunities in sports, crafts, music, tutoring, etc.
Children Ministry
Foster Care: Make the life of a child better. Thousands of children from the Riverside community are currently living in some form of foster care. You can nourish the care of a child by serving as a prayer pal, volunteering for fun events, or partnering with a specific child or home in a big-sister or big-brother relationship.
Ronald McDonald House: Help make a loving house a home. Join a team that ministers to the critically ill or injured children and their families at the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House. Teams will prepare meals, assist with upkeep of the house and yard, and host special events and activites for the families.
Homeless Ministry
Street and Shelter Care: Break down the barriers. A large number of the Inland Empire population face life without a place to call home. Homeless ministries offer mentoring programs to children, assistance in transitional centers, and hands of service in rebuilding peoples' lives.
Urban Ministry
Urban Plunge: Go urban. The Urban Plunge experience takes you to the inner-city for a one-day hands-on opportunity to meet needs and provide care for families and individuals residing in the urban areas of Southern California.
Urban Excursion: Take it futher. An Urban Excursion will go into the urban areas of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or Las Vegas in order to partner with existing ministries that are meeting the needs of that particular urban setting.
Global Issues
Active Compassion: Get active. Make a difference. Active Compassion raises awareness and empowers the students of CBU to create real and lasting change all over the world.
