FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Women of Vision Board?
A: Women of Vision is a group of women who desire the opportunity to experience the joy of giving, who want to learn the importance of philanthropy and who want to leave a lasting legacy.  this is accomplished by Women of Vision through the support of the School of Nursing.  Nurses share a calling to serve a higher purpose, when a life begins, when a life is shattered, when a life is healed, when a life emerges into eternity; nurses are with us at the most important times in our lives.  Their minds, hands and hearts allow them to serve God through a profession that touches the essence of human life.

Q: How does an individual become a member of the Women of Vision Board?
A: Current WOV members, CBU staff and faculty, and trustees may nominate individuals to the Women of Vision Board.  Individuals may also be invited to join by a member of the Institutional Advancement Office.  Membership is open to women who support the mission of California Baptist University.  The minimum membership gift is $250 per year.

Q: How are membership gifts used?
A: Membership gifts support the CBU School of Nursing through scholarships for deserving students who might not be able to attend the University without financial assistance.  WOV membership gifts also help provide necessary equipment for the School of Nursing, as well as helping to fund the building of the School of Nursing Building.

A: Involvement opportunities include:

  • Community Outreach along side nursing students and faculty
  • Prayer support group

  • and more!
