Q: What is the Board of Visitors?

A: The Board of Visitors is an advisory board comprised of selected business and community leaders who assist the University in the areas of planning, promotion and resource development.

Q: How does an individual or a business become a member of the Board of Visitors?

A: Current BOV members, CBU staff and faculty, and trustees may nominate individuals and/or businesses to the Board of Visitors. Individuals may also be invited to join by a member of the Institutional Advancement Office. Membership is open to businesses, corporations, and individuals who support the mission of California Baptist University. The minimum membership gift is $1,000 per year.

Q: How are membership gifts used?

A: Membership gifts support scholarships for deserving students who might not be able to attend the University without financial assistance.

  • Invitations to two annual lunch meetings
  • VIP invitations to special campus activities and events
  • Networking opportunities through mixers and various events
