The Controller of the State of California, John Chiang, will be on
campus on January 29th to kick off Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness
Day. The event will take place in the Copenbarger Dining Room from 10am
to 11am, and all are welcome!
This event is co-sponsored by the School of Business and Community
Action Partnership, Riverside County’s anti-poverty agency. In
partnership with CAP, CBU students participate in the IRS’s Volunteer Income
Tax Assistance Program to provide free income tax preparation assistance to low
income members of our community. The event is designed to raise awareness
of this free community service. CBU’s partnership and the volunteerism of
our accounting and business students will also be highlighted.
