ORIENTATION - IT’S NOT JUST FOR FRESHMEN!

“I’ve gotta work...”
“It’s my cousin’s, uncle’s, sister’s, hamster’s birthday...”
“I’ve already been through all that before...”
“The ‘Duck Dynasty’ marathon is on A&E that week...”
“I really don’t have time for that...”
“I’m too old to do that...”

OK... although these could all be great excuses for missing New Student Orientation, we just wanted to let you know that we really feel that there is no acceptable excuse for missing out on what’s been planned for New Student Orientation this year!

We do understand that as a transfer student your needs are different. There are many things about college life that you already know and may have already experienced. Keeping this mind we offer programming to transfer students unique to "college life" at CBU. We place transfer students in FOCUS groups with each other, so you that can meet fellow "transfers" with similar life experience and interests. It is our desire that through the programs and events planned during Orientation week you can find out more about CBU, meet new people, make new friends, and perhaps even impart some of that “transfer” wisdom to the younger students that may cross your path. We want to make your start here at CBU the best it can possibly be.

You are a vital part of the CBU community and we are excited to have you join us, so throw away those excuses and we look forward to seeing you at ORIENTATION!
