Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from California Baptist University is a great opportunity to receive a comprehensive education for the purpose of research into and management of the earth’s natural resources. The program is designed for students who have a desire to solve environmental challenges and be involved in their solutions, or to pursue graduate studies in environmental-related science, law, public health or business. Environmental scientists engage in research for academic, government and industrial organizations to provide a better understanding of the physical, biological, and social sciences, and their application to environmental processes and issues to potentially solve significant environmental problems like pollution, energy resources and protection of endangered plant and animal species.
At CBU, you will learn from professors who are dedicated to their students. You will have opportunities to work with faculty members assisting with research projects. This close interaction will help you in choosing a career goal that fits your strengths and helps realize your goals. CBU has state-of-the-art equipment and facilities dedicated for use by our students in both classes and research. As a CBU student, you can also explore ways to incorporate faith into your study of Environmental Science to live your purpose in serving people around the world where clean water and proper waste treatment are major needs. Our students can also participate in a wide range of fun-filled events, including field trips, camping and community service in CBU’s Biology Club, which is available to all students.
A minor is also available.
Career opportunities
A B.S. degree in Environmental Science is a great opportunity for students for careers in the following capacities:
