They feel more confident, have more energy, and therefore are capable of accomplishing and achieving more.

Favorite Scripture: We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭8-10‬ NIV)

Anthony Campbell

Year: Senior

Las Vegas, NV

AFAA Personal Training Fitness & Group Exercise certification, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certification

Major: Kinesiology
Areas of Specialization:

Bodyweight Training

Fitness Philosophy:

I love helping others smile and feel good inside out. Living a healthful life shouldn't be stressful; like anything worth while, it takes patience, not stressful pressure. We all have enough stress in our daily lives so I like to make sure some of it is relieved through fun fitness. I enjoy helping others find what they enjoy most and incorporate exercise so they can live out a life time of fitness whether they have access to a traditional gym or not. Simply, I want to help others by adding a bit of joy to their lives so they can enjoy life with the ones they love to the fullest.

Favorite Scripture:

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Shannon Lum

Year: Graduate Student

Corona, CA

PiYo LIVE Instructor

Major: Counseling Psychology
Areas of Specialization:

PiYo Strength

Fitness Philosophy:

I believe in the importance of mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical strength, which I view as interdependent. As someone who has struggled each of these four areas at one point or another in my life, I find value in encouraging others to build towards their goals, fitness and otherwise, so that they can better experience and share God's love.

Favorite Scripture:

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:3-7

Jamie Schonfeld

Year: Senior

Fullerton, CA

Major: Communications
Areas of Specialization:

Zumba, Step, Aerobics

Fitness Philosophy:

Fitness is so much more than just physically working out. Overall fitness entails physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Physical exercise (especially Zumba!) is one of the best ways to lift your mood, relieve stress, and leave you feeling your best. Each area of our lives should be well taken care of. That way we can lead better lives for Christ's glory and be at our highest potential, not only for ourselves, but for those we impact around us.

Favorite Scripture:

"For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." Romans 5:6-11

Jessica Troyer

Year: Junior

Danville, IN

Major: Health Science, Pre-PA
Areas of Specialization:

Fitness Philosophy:

Of course exercising is great for your physical health, but it also works wonders for your mental health! Being able to get up and move around is energizing and empowering. I want to be able to help others find out what kind of movement works for them.

Favorite Scripture:

"Proverbs 3:5-6 says to "trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We don't have to be in control or know what our futures hold. We only need to rely on Him and know that He is enough.
