Spring 2014 semester begins at California Baptist University

RIVERSIDE (Jan. 7, 2014)—California Baptist University kicked off the spring 2014 semester on Jan. 6, as new students arrived to begin orientation.

Freshman and transfer students checked in, moved into residential facilities and attended a welcome luncheon in the Alumni Dining Commons. Afternoon activities included an information session, academic panel, academic sessions and a CBU Price is Right game. Later, students participated in the traditional Kugel Walk. FOCUS groups – short for “First-Year Orientation & Christian University Success” – also began on Jan. 6 to help acclimate students to campus life. With the departure of parents at 5 p.m., students met in FOCUS groups for the first time for dinner. Those groups will provide support for students as they begin their first semester at CBU. Activities will conclude this evening with a tailgate dinner and Anaheim Ducks game.

Spring 2014 classes begin Wednesday, Jan. 8.
