Dr. Franco Gandolfi named dean of CBU’s Robert K. Jabs School of Business

RIVERSIDE (May 23, 2012) — Dr. Franco Gandolfi has been named dean of California Baptist University’s Robert K. Jabs School of Business. He will assume his duties July 2.

Gandolfi brings more than 20 years of experience and research in human resources management, change management, strategic management and organizational development. Since 2009, he has served as director of the master of business administration program at Regent University’s School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Virginia Beach, VA. He also holds faculty rank as professor of management at Regent and is an adjunct professor of management and leadership at Georgetown University.

Previously, he served as director of international business programs at Cedarville University in Ohio, campus dean of academic affairs and operations at Central Queensland University in Sydney, Australia and chair of the department of management at Uniworld Business College in Sydney. Before entering academe, he worked in international business management and consulting for businesses and governments around the world, including General Motors, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and the Peruvian and Chinese governments.

“I am deeply honored to have been called to California Baptist University,” Gandolfi said. “I am looking forward with much excitement and anticipation to serving this fine institution as the dean of the business school. It is my prayer that God will enable us to continue to shape CBU into a world-class institution and to empower us to mold CBU students into leaders that will make a deep impact for Christ in the marketplace all over the world.”

A native of Switzerland, Gandolfi earned a doctor of business administration degree from Southern Cross University in Australia. He also holds a master of education degree in educational psychology and adult education from the University of Sydney, as well as a postgraduate diploma in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) from that institution. In addition, he was graduated from the Swiss Institute of Commerce and Economics with master of commerce and bachelor of commerce degrees.

Gandolfi is author of numerous books, book chapters and journal articles. His newest book is titled “Completing the Puzzle: Writing Your Research Dissertation,” soon to be published by Lambert Academic Publishing. The book is based on Gandolfi’s work with students writing master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.

“I am very excited that Dr. Gandolfi will be leading our business school,” said Dr. Jonathan Parker, provost and vice president for academic affairs at CBU. “He brings a wealth of both practical and academic experience to the deanship, and I am anticipating that he will enable our faculty and students to have a dynamic impact on the local business community.”
