"Light It Up For The Lancers" Aquatics Lighting Campaign underway
We are pleased to introduce one of the most exciting projects California Baptist University has undertaken on behalf of the aquatics program, the “Light It Up For The Lancers” Aquatics campaign. Under the leadership of Dr. Micah Parker, athletics director, this project is dedicated to lighting the Lancer Aquatic Center. As CBU continues its commitment to excellence, we strive to enrich our community by providing an opportunity for families and businesses to enjoy one of the best collegiate aquatic centers in Southern California.
This is truly an exciting time for CBU Aquatics! Our men, women and coaches have worked diligently to secure four consecutive Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving NAIA National Championships, two consecutive Women’s Water Polo NAIA Invitational Championships, 39 Scholar Athlete Awards and a 3.0 cumulative GPA. California Baptist University’s Athletics program has continually taken significant steps to not only become national contenders but to provide our student-athletes with an academic experience that will prepare them for their future endeavors.
Lighting the Aquatic Center will be a huge benefit to our aquatic programs and to our student-athletes in order to help balance schedules and provide even more opportunities for collegiate success. In addition, lighting the Lancer Aquatic Center provides the University a distinct recruiting advantage and the opportunity to engage the community. As you can see, this is an investment that will be leveraged in multiple ways and directly benefits our students.
You can make a significant difference right now by investing in the “Light It Up For The Lancers Campaign”. The total cost of the project is $100,000, and includes equipment, installation, and repair of the facility once the work is completed. Please consider leaving a legacy of caring by helping us light the Lancer Aquatic Center. A gift from you will truly make a difference!
If you are interested in learning more about the project, or have any questions, please contact Christina Gordon, Athletics Development Officer, at 951.343.4628 or christina.gordon@calbaptist.edu.
