Financial Aid for Degree Completion and College of Professional Studies Students

Degree Completion students are working adults whose college education was interrupted for one reason or another and who are returning to earn undergraduate degrees at the main campus, often after many years away from an academic environment.College of Professional Studies (CoPS) students are those who also work during the day but who receive hybridized (online and face-to-face) instruction through our satellite and/or main campuses on a per-unit rather than a traditional tuition basis—with no fees. Both groups are typically comprised of highly motivated learners who are pursuing their educations while advancing ongoing careers, including registered nurses attending CBU in order to complete their undergraduate nursing education.California Baptist University believes strongly in educating students in both of these groups—and in providing them with the financial aid that many of them so badly need and desire.

Returning to college after a prolonged absence is an inspiring endeavor and certainly no easy task for many of these students. In some ways, Degree Completion and College ofProfessional Studies students represent the best that the community has to offer: people leading productive lives while striving to further their education, or those who have overcome significant obstacles to return to college. In both instances, the financial aid available is a welcome encouragement for this important step.
