Welcome to the School of Education

Welcome to the Metcalf School of Education. Our mission is to prepare professionals of high moral character and ethical behavior to serve throughout the world. We honor the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) in our work. Our faculty members are committed to helping you become a leader in the field of your choice: teaching, school counseling, reading, school psychology, special education, disabilities studies, early childhood studies, or educational administration. Nearly a thousand students are enrolled in our bachelor's and master's degree programs. Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs are being designed now with projected start dates in 2010. We are small enough to get to know you as a person, but big enough to provide the resources you need to succeed. If God is calling you to empower and transform others through education, we have a place for you in this learning community.

Metcalf School Launches New Disability Studies Program - One of the few programs of its kind offered by a Christian university, the Master of Arts in Disability Studies at California Baptist University is a distance learning degree program designed to develop expertise in human differences. Beyond preparing professionals to lead, establish and shape disability programs, ministries and policies, CBU’s M.A. in Disability Studies prepares graduates to challenge and change the way society and organizations relate to people with disabilities.
