Welcome to the School of Education at CBU

Welcome to the Metcalf School of Education, one of the top education colleges in California. Our mission is to prepare professionals of high moral character and ethical behavior to serve throughout the world. We honor the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) in our work. Our faculty members are committed to helping you become a leader in the field of your choice: teaching, school counseling, reading, school psychology, special education, disabilities studies, early childhood studies, or educational administration. Nearly a thousand students are enrolled in our bachelor's and master's degree programs. Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs are being designed now with projected start dates in 2010. We are small enough to get to know you as a person, but big enough to provide the resources you need to succeed. If God is calling you to empower and transform others through education, we have a place for you in this Christian college learning community.

- Mary Crist, Ed.D., Dean

Metcalf School Launches New International Education Program - One of the only programs of its kind in the region, CBU’s new M.S. in Education with a Specialization in International Education prepares students for the rewards, opportunities and experiences of teaching in a wide range of educational settings overseas. For students who may not already have a teaching credential, the program offers the flexibility to work toward a California Single Subject or Multiple Subject credential while completing the International Education program. Visit the program website.
