UPDATED PROGRAM STUDENT OUTCOMES (PSOs) – 2008-2009
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate active involvement in their field through membership in at least one professional organization. (Assessed 2002-2003)
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate an essential knowledge of movement anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, and motor skill refinement prior to graduation. (Assessed 2007-2008)
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate having worked at least fifteen hours as a volunteer in a teaching, coaching, officiating, ministry, or related position while enrolled as a CBU undergraduate. (Assessed 2004-2005)
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate an ability to effectively read, evaluate, and utilize research related to physical education or exercise science. (Assessed 2006-2007)
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate comprehension of personal wellness and holistic health concepts. (Assessed 2005-2006)
- Kinesiology students will demonstrate the ability to apply computer technology to fulfillment of their professional responsibilities. (Assessed 2004-2005)
- Kinesiology students in the physical education emphasis will demonstrate the ability to develop and implement appropriate unit plans based on California State Standards. (Assessed 2006-2007)
- Kinesiology students in the physical education emphasis will demonstrate mastery of physical education concepts, teaching methods, and learning styles prior to graduation. (Assessed 2003-2004)
- Kinesiology students in the exercise science concentration will demonstrate nutritional competency through the process of dietary analysis. (new; not yet assessed)
- Kinesiology students in the exercise science concentration will demonstrate the ability to create an accurate fitness prescription. (Assessed 2007-2008)
