CBU's communication studies major seeks to cultivate each student’s critical thinking skills while challenging them to integrate biblical thought with contemporary cultural concepts. Students acquire a high level of proficiency in creating, developing and delivering presentations. As a graduate of the program, they exhibit creativity, confidence and competence through the development of nationally accepted verbal communications principles and practices.
In addition, California Baptist University offers one of the nation’s premier speech and debate programs. CBU speech students compete at tournaments throughout the year and consistently take top honors in individual and team competitions.
