CBU celebrates Homecoming February 17 and 18

Pirate ship Block Party 2011RIVERSIDE (February 3, 2012) –California Baptist University will celebrate a weekend of Homecoming activities at the CBU campus February 17th and 18th. This year’s Homecoming theme, “One World, One Mission,” celebrates the university’s 15th year of global ministry. Since 1997, CBU has sent out some 2,500 participants to 49 countries through its international and domestic service projects. 

CBU Names Cleveland VP of Institutional Advancement

cbu-art-cleveland-news-smalll-jan12RIVERSIDE (January 26, 2012) –Dr. Art Cleveland has been named as Vice President of Institutional Advancement for California Baptist University, President Ronald L. Ellis, announced.  Cleveland began his new duties January 23. A veteran of more than four decades in education as a professor and administrator, Cleveland most recently as served as interim Vice President of Institutional Advancement for CBU for the past year.

CBU receives $250,000 grant for high-tech green lab

cbu-green-gears-engineering-square RIVERSIDE (January 19, 2012) – California Baptist University’s College of Engineering has received a grant of $250,000 from the W.M. Keck Foundation that will be used to purchase equipment and develop an advanced “green” computing, teaching and research laboratory. The high-tech lab will feature field programmable gate array (FPGA) hardware and advanced robotics equipment.  FPGA is an integrated circuit designed to be configured by the user, after manufacturing, for customized use.
